The Imagination Library combines the national reach of The Dollywood Foundation with local, community-based affiliates. The Foundation selects the books, negotiates wholesale prices and manages printing and mailing.
As Waltham's local affiliate, we're responsible for two things:
- Enrolling families, so that every eligible child in Waltham is signed up.
- Paying for the books and postage for every enrolled child.

It's up to us to let Waltham families know about the program. We're building partnerships with trusted local organizations that already work with young children and their families.
Partner with usRaising the funds
Each book costs our program about $2.60, including wholesale price and shipping. That's about $31 per child per year. We rely on individual donors, local businesses and grants to cover it.
